Ivar Ivask (1927 - 1992) - Tenth Elegy from "The Baltic Elegies" There is a Baltic music beyond words and language. A region in repeated chords of rain and winds, of linden blossoms and of swarming bees. A melody persists, not written down by anyone, nor will it ever be, that haunts the dreams of generations. In October you can clearly hear it all along the undulating coastline and it counterpointed asters. It grows in widening rings as if a stone were thrown into a lake upon the world's creation. This is the place where music leans its Jacob's ladder for our soul.

Personal note from CD producer Ilona Kudina:

"Leading the Amber Flute Quartet in this project was a grand adventure. When we play and listen to Baltic music we return to our spiritual home and feel the strength of our identity. Now, as in ancient times, the Flute remains the instrument of love. And no matter where we live or journey, love and music will always be with us."
